How long will my listing run on BGListings.com?

Listings run until you choose to remove them. You must renew your listing periodically, but that's free too.

I just sold my item, now what about my listing?

Once an item has sold, you should delete your listing so that potential buyers will know the item is no longer available for purchase.

The sale of my item is pending, but I don't want to delete my listing. What can I do?

You can deactivate your listing while the sale of your item is pending. If the sale falls through, simply reactivate your listing.

How many listings can I create?

You can create as many listings as you want! There are currently no restrictions on the number of listings.

How am I contacted by buyers who are interested in my items?

Potential buyers will click "Reply to this Ad" on your listing page. They will fill out a form and their comments will be sent to your registered email address. You may also choose to post your phone number in your item description if you wish to receive phone calls concerning your listing.

How is the transaction managed between buyer and seller?

That's up to you. The role of BGListings.com is simply to connect sellers and potential buyers (see Terms of Use).

What if I don't see an appropriate category for an item I want to list?

List your item in the category most closely related to your item or contact us to suggest a new category.

When I try to "sign in" I'm redirected back to the sign in screen. What's going on?

If you see a red error message, it means your email address and password do not match our records. If you do not see an error message, make sure you have cookies enabled in your browser. Cookies are required to sign in and create/edit listings.

Why do I keep getting error messages? Am I doing something wrong?

Usually error messages are a result of an incorrect form entry. Either a required field was left incomplete or an entry did not pass validation. Re-check what you entered in the form. There are other times when you will receive an error message that doesn't make much sense. This is usually due to a glitch in our system (though it can also be due to a server problem). We will receive an email notification when such an error occurs, and we will correct the glitch.

Some of my photos don't look like they should. What happened?

We require all of our thumbnail photos to be the same size. Any photos you upload to our site that are taller than they are wide will be "cropped" to create the thumbnail. The larger views of your photos will look exactly as they do on your computer, though they may be smaller.
